Borchi® Gen 12

Borchi® Gen 12 is a low molecular weight polyether modified compound wetting and dispersing agent for pigments in water- and solvent-based systems. This dispersant is recommended for systems based on CAB and Nitrocellulose.

Dosage

Recommended amounts of Borchi® Gen 12 in % (supply form) based on the following pigment content:

  • Titanium dioxide: 1 – 3 %
  • Inorganic pigments: 5 – 10 %
  • Organic pigments: 10 – 35 %
  • Carbon black: N/A

The exact dosage should be experimentally determined but will depend upon the particle size and surface area of the pigments in the formula. Borchi® Gen 12 should be added to the mill base before adding the pigment.

Storage

Protect from the effects of weathering and light. Store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product.
