Borchers offers two moisture scavenger products: Additive TI and Additive OF. Moisture scavengers are used to chemically eliminate water in solvent borne systems via different mechanisms, thereby reducing the chance of moisture-related issues. Common moisture-related issues are gloss reduction, haze formation, and foam generation in polyurethane coatings. Additive TI is a 100% active, highly reactive isocyanate moisture scavenger for polyurethane. It can be used in 2K polyurethane systems and moisture-cured 1K polyurethane systems to dehydrate raw materials, such as pigments, fillers, and solvents. Additive TI provides short-term dehydration. Additive OF is a 100% active moisture scavenger for polyurethane. It can be used as a package stabilizer in 1K and 2K polyurethane systems.
