Cobalt-Free Drier for Europe Markets
Borchi® OXY-Coat 1410 is a metal-based high-performance cobalt-free drier for high solids alkyd-based coatings. This high-concentration cobalt replacement additive is a unique catalyst that is applicable in a wide range of coating systems that dry oxidatively. It is available for European coating markets.
Benefits of High-Performance Cobalt-Free Driers
As concerns around cobalt are increasing within the coatings industry, Borchi® OXY-Coat 1410 is a curing solution that does not contain any metals that could potentially compromise sustainability. This high-performance, cobalt-free catalyst is a sustainable alternative to cobalt and other metal carboxylates in high solids coatings systems.
Benefits include faster dry times, improved gloss and haze, brighter whites, non-yellowing, and the ability to be used in adverse conditions (thus extending coatings season windows).
Applications
Borchi® OXY-Coat 1410 is ideal for use in wood, industrial, and architectural coatings, as well as in printing inks.

Dosage
All resin systems are unique and will require the level of Borchi® OXY - Coat 1410 to be optimized for best cost and dry. We recommend la ladder study of 0.05 – 3 % Borchi® OXY - Coat 1410 as supplied on resin solids. Please keep in mind that too much Borchi® OXY - Coat 1410 might inhibit through dry. Borchi® OXY - Coat 1410 should be added as one of the last ingredients before the Anti-Skinning agent.
Storage
Protect from the effects of weathering and store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product.
