Silicone-Free Flow and Leveling Agent

Borchi® Gol 8701 is a silicone-free flow and leveling additive that is able to maintain intercoat adhesion in coatings while providing excellent substrate wetting and slip. This solution eliminates flooding and floating.

Benefits include orange peel removal, excellent gloss, improved clarity, ability to maintain intercoat adhesion, and outstanding DOI in coatings. Borchi® Gol 8701 does not promote or stabilize application foam and does not cause haze or turbidity.

  As a substrate wetting agent,  Borchi® Gol 8701 optimizes short and long wave ratio for outstanding appearance. It provides similar performance to siloxanes – however, unlike siloxanes, this agent does not cause recoatability issues.

Applications
This additive works with a multitude of resin systems but is primarily recommended for clear and pigmented solvent-based coatings.

Dosage

The recommended dosage is 0.5 – 2.0 % of the total weight of the formulation depending upon the binder type. The exact dosage should be experimentally determined. Borchi® Gol 8701 is easy to use and can be added at any stage of the formulation; however, we recommend adding it near the end of the formula.

Storage

Protect from the effects of weathering and light. Store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product.
