• The balanced ratio of the various metal contents of Octa-Soligen® 173 yields optimum results in initial drying and through-drying
• Excellent drier stability
• Paints incorporating Octa-Soligen® 173 are characterised by better drying times particularly at high atmospheric humidity and low temperatures
• Low viscosity
• Outstanding brightness, good gloss and excellent hardness
Applications Development trials showed the necessary addition of Octa-Soligen® 173 to be between 2 and 5 % relative to solid binder, depending on the binder and the pigment system. This is equivalent to a cobalt content of 0.024 to 0.060 %.
When using pigments which retard the drying process such as carbon black or toluidine red, a higher dosage or special stabilization may be necessary. Octa-Soligen® Barium 12.5 and Octa-Soligen® Calcium 10 are suitable for this purpose.
In paint systems which already contain zinc compounds, Octa-Soligen® 173 should be used in preference to Octa-Soligen® 203.
Protect from the effects of weathering and store at temperatures below 50 °C.
Once opened, containers should be resealed immediately after each removal of the product.
