• Improves film gloss, substrate wetting, color strength in pigmented systems
• Avoids microfoam formation during manufacturing
• Easy to emulsify in water
• Should be used in grinding step, but can also be added in let-down or post-add
• Supports quick air release of entrapped air in the surface during application
• VOC-free

The recommended dosage is 0.05 – 1.50 % Borchers® AF 1171 to the total weight of the formulation depending upon the
binder system and which property is being addressed. The exact dosage should be experimentally determined. In
pigmented systems, 2/3 of the defoamer portion should be added to the grind and 1/3 to the letdown.
Protect from the effects of weathering and store at temperatures between 5 and 30 °C. Once opened, containers should be
resealed immediately after each removal of the product. Separation may occur, mix well before use.
